Cartagena is built on the banks of the Caribbean coast and therefore has the views of the Caribbean Sea. It’s built up into high rise buildings outside of the old city walls and inside the old city walls it’s ancient structure and architecture in Colombia from the days of the Great Colombia, which included Venezuela as well as Ecuador.

The amazing architecture of the building inside the walls of the old city is evident to the rich culture and history of this region. The region on the coast of the Caribbean with population of native Colombian, Afro-native Colombian, indigenous, indigenous tribes from different regions of the coast, and immigration from Venezuela. Witnessing the evidence of the gap between the rich Colombian and the poor Colombian can be seen outside the old city walls into the Favelas.

I’ve stayed in Cartagena a few times. I love waking up in the morning and going for a walk around the walls of the old city and then strolling outside the walls towards the sea, walking on the sand until arriving for coffee on the beach. The Caribbean Sea is very active and it is advised to be careful when entering the sea. The new energy that the body receives from purifying every morning in the Caribbean Sea is a wonderful feeling and amazing results in the field of wellness, resilience and sustainability.
