Opinion: Human Rights, Palestinian Children Starving, Israeli Society Collapse, and Sara Netanyahu Drinking Champagne.

I always stay away from politics. Politics is an area where certain characteristics of humanity are lacking and I am personally not there.

I decided to blog about the Palestinian children starving for food and water, a whole society that is lacking services, the basic ones of humanity. Seeing the pictures of people lining up for soup, water and flour is tearing my heart apart.

This era is a black era, not only for the Palestinians as they are being brutally victims of crimes against humanity, but also a black era for Israeli society. The general phrase is that a coin has two sides. Here, you have two sides that no one talks about which is the Palestinian children starving for food and water, where on the other side Israeli mothers bury their 18 and 19-year old soldiers and families waiting for the hostages to come back. Where the Palestinian society going through a genocide on one side of the coin, and the Israeli society collapse and losing its young generation, dignity and values on the other side of the coin. The region fell into the hands of leaders without values of humanity and heart.

The world needs to wake up. For the severe deprivation of human rights from the Palestinian people. Those people who lived in that land for over 2000 years are described in the Bible, those people are humans with rights where the basic human rights of dignity and freedom are not met. The world needs to wake up to the severe deprivation of values, humanity and compassion for those Israeli mothers and the collapse of Israeli society who lack democracy and the strength to change the extreme governing leaders.

These days, there are no medical services for the thousands of injuries in the Palestinian land. Among them are women and children and other innocent people that all their crime is being born in that land. The world is just watching. This is a major default in our values and the ability to live in a better world.

Many scholars look for research about humanity, eco-systems, development, innovation and I am urging those scholars to look into Israel, with both eyes open. I am urging the scholars to use their talent, to use their abilities and to make the world aware of what is really happening here. How come this situation got to this point so far out of reach of humanity?

I know the Israeli society as I grew up in Israel under the Israeli social services, but I was not born in Israel. I remember the era of Nobel Peace Prizes and Peace Agreements in the region. History shows that the courage of Anwar Sadat, the Egyptian President, signed a peace agreement with Israel, marking a historic turning point in the Arab-Israeli conflict. The agreement, known as the Camp David Accords (1978) and later the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty (1979), was the first of its kind between Israel and an Arab nation. The agreement was brokered by U.S. President Jimmy Carter, and Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts.

Moreover, later on between the Palestinian government and the Israeli government, there was another peace agreement. The 1994 Nobel Peace Prize given jointly to leaders Yasser Arafat, Shimon Peres and Yitzhak Rabin for their efforts to create peace in the Middle East.

That was an era when Palestinians and Israelis were living in peace and thinking about innovation and enterprise together. At that time, Israeli society was healthy. Israeli mothers did not have to bury their children in order to satisfy the craziness of leaders who are out of control. At that time, the Israeli society did not cover for the corruption of leaders or pay for boxes of champagne to Sara Netanyahu out of fear.

In our days, there are many court procedures and sentences involving the corruption of Bibi Netanyahu and the gift giving to Sara Netanyahu. But in Israeli society, there is fear of retaliation if they go against those corrupt and extreme leaders.

The question we have to ask ourselves and our leaders worldwide is: how come Palestinian children are starving, Israeli mothers burying their soldiers and Sara Netanyahu is drinking champagne? Where is the governance of the world, where accountability, transparency and humanity are in place and enforceable?

Having the Palestinian society starving for food, water and medical help is a wake up call for the world to help this region. For humanity to show her face, where the light needs to kick out the dark.
