Exploring this part of Bolivia is an exceptional adventure as you can witness the uniqueness of the Amazon River system, with the food and agriculture that are typically characterized by the sustainability food chains of the Amazon.

While exploring this part of the Amazon River, we were staying in Rurrenabaque on the bank of the Beni River in Bolivia. From there, we were traveling to the Bolivian rainforest and exploring the surrounding pampas, which are the land of the Amazonas basin.

Knowledge of the importance of the Amazon basin is imperative to acknowledge the contribution that this region has on eco-system, agriculture, biodiversity, and global ecological role and function for climate change. We have witnessed that there is a symbiosis relationship between the biodiversity, the wildlife, and the river with the sustainability food chain. The Amazon basin enjoys preservation of its biodiversity as well as cultures, and indigenous populations, equally, as the population of the indigenous and local Amazonas people preserve the natural resources of the Amazon basin.

The local Bolivians and the indigenous are cultivating agriculture, such as plantations of platanos, bananas, rice, soya beans, sugar cane, and other vegetables and fruits. The more fruitful the land is in the Amazon basin, without chemicals and fertilization, the better is the quality of life and the reduction of deforestation and pollutants.  There are few interests that the western world is looking into in the Amazon region, specifically with the reduction of deforestation and the reduction of carbon and CO2, which influences climate change.

The preservation of this area depends on the carbon cycle and the water cycle by the local Bolivians, the indigenous and of course external forces who are coming to benefit from the natural resources of the Amazon. It is known that the Amazon basin holds 10% of the world's biodiversity and about 50% of the world's river discharge. The vegetables and the reduction of deforestation is crucial to the carbon cycle and the water cycle. The indigenous and the locals in those areas enjoy the cultivation of agriculture from the riverside as well as free fishing from the river. The sustainability food chain includes free range of animals such as chickens and cows that are raised freely without specification of hormones.
